We have had a fantastic week in school. Miss Taylor organised two great events in school this week. The afternoon tea for the over 60's was a brilliant success. We had over 40 people from the church, community and care home come for tea and cake and to listen to our wonderful choir led by Mrs Lindop.
The Valentine disco was also a great success and raised over £400 for our school fund. Thank you for supporting this event.
Wellington High school came into school to teach some of our children about volcanoes and nursey had a very colourful dress up day on Friday.
Wishing you all a wonderful half term break and rest and we look forward to seeing you all when we return on 20th February.

Parking and driving
We have had a number of incidents recently regarding parents and carers parking dangerously.
Please be respectful to our residents and other parents/carers when picking up and dropping off children.
Please do not park over people's drives or block cars in.
Please be mindful of children and parents walking on pavements when you are parking.
If you are concerned about someone's parking or driving please contact the police or the local authority.

Show around school
Have you ever wondered what your child gets up to at School?
When you ask them what they have done, do they say “nothing”?
At Broomwood Primary School we are super proud of your children and of our school as a whole; the work they produce, the behaviour they display and the opportunities that they make the most of each day.
In order to give you a little bit more of an insight into school life at Broomwood, we have decided to open our doors and give you the opportunity to see the school in action.
We have set aside three dates where you can book in to have a show round while the children are working. This will involve a short tour of the school with a member of the Senior Leadership Team; you will be able to pop into classrooms, look at some work and ask any questions you may have.
In order to book your place on a tour, please call the school office as soon as possible. Places are limited but if it is successful we will hold further tours in the Summer term.
Thursday 23rd February 9:45am – 10:15am
Monday 27th February 1:30pm – 2:00pm
Thursday 2nd March 9:45 am– 10:15am
We look forward to showing you what Broomwood life is really like.

World Book Day - Thursday 2nd March
We know it is a month away but we just wanted to give you a heads up that it is world book day on Thursday 2nd March.
The children are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character. It does not matter if it is a shop bought or a homemade outfit, the important thing is that it is a character the children love and one they know something about. There will also be a class prize for the best costume - we love when the children get creative and make their own costumes.
Who will receive one of our Broomwood Primary School Postcards this week.
Keep an eye out for the post, it could be you this week!
Foundation Fund for EYFS
A little kind reminder to parents/cares regarding the EYFS fund.
